For many cultures and for thousands of centuries the drum has been used in various rituals, ceremonies, celebrations, meditation and healing, a rite of passage for some. The process of making a drum is an amazing journey that will open your heart and offer connection to the heartbeat of Mother Earth. If the time is right you will know.

All that you need to make your drum will be provided on the first day of our gathering. You will leave with your very own drum creation and a knowing that something has been altered in your life.

Over the days between our gatherings you may notice images and details on your drum. Do not be tempted and sound it. Your drum is not ready to be heard, not until we come together to hear its voice for the first time. Spend that time to research your ancestry. Then we will gather once again on April 16, June 18 or Oct 15, to awaken your drum and share our ancestral stories, food and exchange heart gifts. It will then be time to drum and sing in celebration. You may also choose to stay for dinner and our monthly full moon drumming circle that evening for an additional $40.

More details upon registration. Space is limited. Deadline for registration is one week prior to each workshop. The cost for a 14-15 inch drum is $255 and includes lunch and participation in the drum awakening ceremony. Overnight packages also available.

Adele’s Bio
Adele is a Registered Natural Health Practitioner, trained as a Wellness & Lifestyle Coach, Thai Massage Practitioner and Yoga Exercise Specialist. She is thrilled to be currently enrolled in the FEEL program at Horse Spirit Connections. Making her own drum played an important role in guiding her home to her Native roots and Metis Heritage.

A passionate student of life Adele offers creative holistic solutions for those ready to embrace their journey to better health and happiness. “My intent and desire is simply to help you build a great drum. I would be honoured to share this special occasion with you.”
